Distinguished representatives
of international media,

Accreditation for the 8th World Floorball Championship for men has started and will continue until 14th November 2010. Before filling in application form, here are some general notes/regulations concerning accreditation.

Accreditation will be done via Internet only. Front page for accreditation is: www.magicalgamesaccreditation.com. There You will find link to electronic form for foreign as well as Finnish media.

Accreditations are, in general, granted to working media who are assigned by their editor to professionally cover the championships. The Local Organiser Committee (LOC) reserves the right to approve or deny media accreditation applications. The completion of the application form does not yet guarantee accreditation.

The accredited media shall have access to the media center, the media tribune, the mixed zone area and the press conference room. If the number of reporters exceeds the number of seats reserved in the press center, media tribune or if an unusual number of media is expected to the photo/mixed zone, the organisers have the right to make special priority arrangements.

If organiser will receive unusual number accreditation applications from one media company, LOC can consider limitations/quotas, in order to guarantee accreditation for wide range of media representatives. Since it is very difficult to control the validity of the increasing number of applications from freelancers, a freelance journalist have to submit a written confirmation from the editor of the media outlet that has assigned the freelancer to the World Floorball Championship 2010 for men.

Data connections
Organiser will provide media center at Hartwall Arena with LAN (10Mbits RJ45) (photographers) as well as wireless (Wi-Fi) connections. In the media tribune there is Wi-Fi. Moving between the media tribune and the media center is very flexible.

LAN connection is possible to have on field level also (Hartwall Arena) for extra charge. This is to serve especially photo agencies. If interested, contact the organisers. Inquiries and reservations concerning all other connections (e.g. ADSL/ISDN for radio transmissions or TV) we ask to contact direct TeliaSonera Finland Ltd. templets@sonera.com, which provides exclusively all connections at Hartwall Arena. At Vantaan Energia Areena organiser will provide Wi-Fi for media.

Host broadcaster of the WCF2010 is YLE Sports, the Finnish National Broadcasting company.

Accommodation
We have also some alternatives about accommodation for foreign media. Media accommodation is presented on own section. See left side bar.  

Later on, organiser will send more detailed info about media services to accredited. In all matters concerning media services, do not hesitate contact the organiser.
